A Year has past
As waves come crashing
Swimming, struggling towards a goal
Now lost, forever? Maybe
Could it be fated?
For four, unforgiving years
Tolerated, Sacrificed for one
Yet there was no other.
Now left searching,
In the gardens,
No roses left unpicked
None left as sweet
Should I wait till one bloom?
Should I enter the thorns?
To come out with scars
Again? Bloodied and batter
Not my being but the unseen
